Timothy Rice
Tim is a Battalion Chief for the City of New York, the largest Municipal Fire Department in the United States. He has 23 years of field experience responding to all types of emergencies and disasters. As a Senior Field Emergency Response Officer, he specializes in high threat emergency planning, response and coordination. His experience includes fire and emergency response and rescue, hazardous materials, Weapons of Mass Destruction, counterterrorism for the first responder, DHS/FEMA and disease/epidemic containment and treatment.
Tim has been recognized for his expertise in radiological incident preparedness, grant management and Federal and State multi-agency coordination, communication, protocol and integration. He is a senior strategist and collaborator, who is skilled in seeking alternative and optimized solutions for complex issues.
Additionally, Tim’s company, TRC Services, has collaborated on a number of projects for the private sector, Not for Profit corporations and Non-governmental organizations. He has developed Disaster and Emergency Plans, advised on technology solutions to aid responders and strategic planning, partnerships and integration. He has delivered numerous classes on HazMat Response, Weapons of Mass Destruction, traditional firefighting, as well as developed customized programs.
Tim holds a Bachelors in Public Affairs/Emergency Management and an Associate’s degree in Applied Science. In addition, he has completed graduate level coursework in Leadership and Management, as well as hundreds of hours of training related to disasters and emergencies. He serves on the National Fire Protection Association 472 Technical Committee and the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office/Technical Support Working Group. Michael Bisesi, PhD, RESH, CIH
Dr. Bisesi is Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, College of Public Health, Ohio State University (OSU). Additionally he is director of the Center for Public Health at OSU, and Interim Chair and Assoc. Professor, for the Division of Environmental Health Sciences.
Dr. Bisesi’s background includes comprehensive practice in environmental and occupational health science. His areas of expertise include human exposure assessment of chemical and biological agents, human illness prevention, and environmental toxicology. He has extensive publications in the industrial hygiene and environmental and occupational toxicology arenas.
